If i click on a file to open in either of the two above programs I get an error. Media player says file cannot be found. Adobe said there is a problem with file and can't open. Can anyone help me

Internet explorer keeps closing

I have ran my virus scan and adware and it says nothing detected, but when I open IE, and then try to open another page it give me an error saying interent exploer encounter problem and shutting down. Can some one please, please help me. Thanks.
