I think Kaspersky is not the culprit. Is DVD RW powered on and not burning the DVDs ? What kind of error are you facing ?

Allow Windows 7 to search for the drivers online, it will install automatically. If this doesn't work somehow, search for drivers on internet and install manually.

Locking the system is best since it allows you to resume in almost no time when you come back after a short break.

1) Go to registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies\Explorer and delete 'NoFolderOptions' in the rigt pane 2) Go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies\Explorer and delete 'NoFolderOption' in the right pane. 3) Restart your computer and try to access the Folder Options.

All the stuff that you need is in the book by 'Todd Lammle'. So, don't waste your time and stick to the book, you can try different simulators for practicing what you learn, that's all if you don't have access to real switches/routers.

I suggest try to reboot the PC with keyborad attached and check the System Logs, get the keyboard error and google it.

Check if power is supplied to DVD RW. Try to restart PC with DVD RW attached. If still doesn't work, buy a new DVD RW.

The snap which you attached shows that the window which is giving no options for you to operate is actually 'Not Responding' which is not surprising for me because it is windows afterall. Secondly, the slow internet might be because of your ISP. I suggest you to check your system …
