I don't know about loading the content from the DB via Ajax, but if you are using asp.net then I find [URL="http://www.asp.net/AJAX/AjaxControlToolkit/Samples/ConfirmButton/ConfirmButton.aspx"]this[/URL] a nifty toolkit and is a great way of holding the popup in place
