This is the exact resolution of this problem
Replace the CMOS battery
1. Go to bios and manually detect the Hardrive, see if it detects it... 2. Boot wih Xp cd ,go to recovery console 3. Run chkdsk /p if you get any error 4. try chkdsk /r waiting for reply

System restore is not always the best resolution to fix this issue. Because the sysem would be reset back to the settings of that particular date. and all the programs that were installed after that selected data would be lost..The main issue is to find the program that is creating …
