Try running F Disk.Delete partitioms then create a Max Dos partition.Run install again.

Do a system restore.Pick a point before the problem started.
Try disabling the memory chace.That should fix your problem.I have done this and it works.
I rab FDISK and created a max dos partitiob in my pen drive.After rebootibg XP let me format my pen drive and restall programs,
My E-Machine #W2888 HD will not boot in a different CP.I do not have the installation CD but do have the CD Key .Also have the Restore CD but The config file was purposely corrupted to not let system boot in ny other machine.How can I get around this. Joe
